ABOUT
Camping is an outdoor activity involving overnight stays away from home in a temporary shelter, such as a tent, bevies etc. Typically, participants leave behind developed areas to spend time outdoors in more natural surroundings, in pursuit of activities which provide them enjoyment and a feeling of one with nature.
Camping is a minimum of one night being spent outdoors, differentiating it from day-tripping, picnicking, and other similarly short-term recreational activities. Camping can be enjoyed through all four seasons.
Camping as a recreational activity became popular among elites in the early 20th century, it is a key part of many youth organizations around the world, such as Scouting, which uses it to teach both self-reliance & teamwork. Safarnaama also brings camping in a way which can play a big role in holistic learning through outdoors. It offers a very different learning experience for everyone. It helps to move towards an experience mindset.
Being in nature gives you new perspectives. The experience on offer is very different and allows one to explore the space within, whether you enjoy Adventure Activities, Trekking, Hiking, Biking, having an interactive time with family / friends, Bonfire, Star Gazing etc. or any other outdoor activity, camping offers you a way to focus completely on a hobby for a few days without external distractions.
Camping often introduces you to new experiences, possibly an activity you’ve been meaning to try but have never got around to. Whatever the case, there are numerous reasons to suggest that tackling new challenges and experiences can keep our brains healthy, as they force us to think for ourselves. Better yet, they can enhance self-confidence, growth, and happiness, too.
Camping is great for children’s education and can have a direct positive impact on children’s development. It introduces children to a whole new world and asks of them an ability to overcome new problems and challenges. Having exposure to a different set of challenges not only keeps the kids’ brains healthy but leads to increased learning opportunities.
