Debsu Bugyal is a picturesque high-altitude alpine meadow tucked away in the Govind Pashu Vihar National Park, Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Located at an altitude of 3,000 meters (9,840 feet), this relatively less-explored gem lies en route to Ruinsara Tal and offers mesmerizing views of towering Himalayan peaks like Swargarohini, Kalanag (Black Peak), and Bandarpunch.
Unlike the more popular meadows of Dayara or Bedni, Debsu Bugyal is serene, untouched, and peaceful—ideal for nature lovers, first-time trekkers, photographers, and those seeking solitude amidst expansive green meadows.
Debsu Bugyal offers an easy-to-moderate trek through dense pine forests, river crossings, and blooming alpine flora that eventually opens up into a wide green pasture with panoramic snow-capped mountain views.
It’s one of the best short treks in Uttarakhand that provides a perfect combination of natural beauty, culture, and Himalayan experience—ideal for weekend getaways, nature walks, or as a warm-up trek before advanced routes like Bali Pass or Ruinsara Tal.
