OUTBOUND TRAINING

INCAMPUS OUTDOORS WITH THE MOTIVE OF PERSONAL MANAGEMENT

STARTS FROM $ 30.00 PER PARTICIPANT

We would love to bring our “Outdoor Educational” programs to your school.  Our programs are entertaining, but our goal is also to work in grade level. Students are more likely to remember adaptations, reflections, and structure function relationships (for example) when it comes alive in the classroom. Our programs help to reinforce the learning experience.

We do have many options. We can structure a program to fit your budget and educational goals. The programs are listed below:

  • SORTIE– These can be 180-260 minutes general assembly programs. Although we can certainly present to very large groups, it is not recommended.  Single programs are great for one or two grade levels and groups up to 100 students.

  • MULTIPLEX– If the entire school will be attending our programs, the multi-program option is the better way to go. We will send out our team to present to each grade level throughout the day. The Specials Period may be the best option when scheduling time for the programs. Utilizing this time has been the preferred class period at many schools.  This also allows us to change our programs to fit the grade levels.

  • TEAMER– This is the ultimate way to go! With this option, we schedule 2, 3, or more teams to come out and present simultaneously. Different programs will be presented in separate locations in your school where the students rotate to each program. Each class can be anywhere from 15 – 45 mins, depending on your school schedule and number of students. It gives the students a full, immersive experience. Class examples might be rainforest/desert/grasslands or mammals/reptiles/invertebrates. Our Programs Director will reach out and help you select from our long list of options for your classes. This can be for the entire school or just one grade level. It’s a great 5th grade outdoors experience!

  • CAMPER– Perfect for a single grade (usually 3rd grade and up). This option is like going to camp without ever leaving the campus. Our team of instructors will energize, excite, and educate your students with a variety of programs from individual performance for self-discovery and communication, team building, and more. Each camp is custom designed to fit your educational needs.

  • EDUCATOR– This is more of a booth type set up where students and their families can come and go. Rather than the sit-down program, our educational and fun booth is interactive. Guests can come by and part in the simulation to achieve the task with their kid, interact with one of our experiential learning educators and so much more.

IAYP PROGRAMS

STARTS FROM $ 120.00 PER PARTICIPANT

It is all about finding and challenging oneself and are rewarded for participating in a program. This is an award which helps students to work and are committed to being a better citizen of the nation. Safarnaama has the expertise to work with the school in either developing the right program to get an award or just be a logistics partner for the school.

The Program is non-competitive and anyone with perseverance and enterprise, including the disabled, can earn an Award. Young people choose activities that are appropriate to their environment and best suited to their own personal interests and talents.

For adults, the Program provides an opportunity to help by sharing their individual skills and experience with young people.

The definition of leisure has changed over the years.  There were times when these activities were perceived as leisure activities only for a chosen few.  However, a change in perception has happened over the years and these activities are not just for leisure but for individual betterment as well. The Award Program addressed unplanned leisure time, (so easily misdirected), to be used in exciting ways. It addressed holistic development and growth. It is emphatically not a children’s program.

The Founders were very clear that this is a program for young people. It promised no material gain but added a ‘quality’ that is discernible to all. The 4 Sections, which appear so simple, are carefully thought out: they add value and challenge the body, spirit, and mind. They also reflect adult choice of leisure activity.

SOFT SKILLS ORIENTATION PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS

STARTS FROM $ 300.00 PER PARTICIPANT

Soft Skills are an important aspect for overall development of the child. These refer to wide-ranging personal and interpersonal skills which are intangible and difficult to define, observe and measure.  Soft Skills are important skills to have so that it is easy to communicate, translate it into action, lead from the front, listen, understand the other’s point of view, and empathise with others.

As per the global recommendations, even the WHO outlines a module of 10 important skills to be a part of the learning curriculum in the schools: These include life skills like self-awareness, decision making, problem-solving, creative thinking, critical thinking, empathy, coping with emotions and stress; and soft skills like communication and interpersonal skills.

With the early introduction of skills in the schools, it is easy to say that it plays a very important part in the overall development of the child.  When the child learns how to communicate clearly, he / she not only gains considerable confidence, but his / her academic performance is also considerably improved.

Safarnaama has researched it in the level of seeing the transformation in the soft skills as the personality comes out from the simulations through outdoors.

CAMPING

STARTS FROM $ 70.00 PER PARTICIPANT

Camping is an outdoor activity involving overnight stays away from home in a temporary shelter, such as a tent, bevies etc. Typically, participants leave behind developed areas to spend time outdoors in more natural surroundings, in pursuit of activities which provide them enjoyment and a feeling of one with nature.

Camping is a minimum of one night being spent outdoors, differentiating it from day-tripping, picnicking, and other similarly short-term recreational activities. Camping can be enjoyed through all four seasons.

Camping as a recreational activity became popular among elites in the early 20th century, it is a key part of many youth organizations around the world, such as Scouting, which uses it to teach both self-reliance & teamwork. Safarnaama also brings camping in a way which can play a big role in holistic learning through outdoors. It offers a very different learning experience for everyone. It helps to move towards an experience mindset.

Being in nature gives you new perspectives. The experience on offer is very different and allows one to explore the space within, whether you enjoy Adventure Activities, Trekking, Hiking, Biking, having an interactive time with family / friends, Bonfire, Star Gazing etc. or any other outdoor activity, camping offers you a way to focus completely on a hobby for a few days without external distractions.

Camping often introduces you to new experiences, possibly an activity you’ve been meaning to try but have never got around to. Whatever the case, there are numerous reasons to suggest that tackling new challenges and experiences can keep our brains healthy, as they force us to think for ourselves. Better yet, they can enhance self-confidence, growth, and happiness, too.

Camping is great for children’s education and can have a direct positive impact on children’s development. It introduces children to a whole new world and asks of them an ability to overcome new problems and challenges. Having exposure to a different set of challenges not only keeps the kids’ brains healthy but leads to increased learning opportunities.

Some of the benefits of Camping are:

  • The forest air can have a very different effect on one’s health. It has medicinal properties.
  • Interaction with peers
  • Improves Mood
  • Less Stress
  • Encourages Exercise
  • Sunshine
  • A good night’s sleep.
  • New Challenges
  • Creates respect for environment.
  • Teaches survival skills.
  • Fosters independence
  • Activating Melatonin hormone that regulates the sleep–wake cycle.
  • With time, camping grew more democratic, and varied. Modern campers frequent publicly owned natural resources such as national and state parks, wilderness areas, and commercial campgrounds.

MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE PROGRAM (MCP) FOR STUDENTS

STARTS FROM $ 220.00 PER PARTICIPANT

The key to success in simulation training is integrating it into traditional education programmes. Teamwork training conducted in the simulated environment may also offer an additive benefit to the traditional didactic instruction, enhance performance, and possibly also reduce errors.

There are also scenario writers for these simulation cases. These writers can customize the scenarios for interdisciplinary team training and role-playing to highlight or facilitate certain roles of team interaction. These scenarios should be realistic, practical, and comprehensive. Scenarios would usually also have event triggers, environmental distractors, and supporting events. They should be developed systematically with proficiency-based assessment in place, which can emphasize integrative team performance as well as technical performance.

All practice and action should also be validated by data and evidence to reach the top of the mountain, the students must overcome the hurdles thrown at them by mother nature. Through the activities of pitching tents and navigating tricky passages, the students learn about teamwork. Overcoming physical obstacles of the wilderness teaches them to be independent and LATERAL THINKERS.

Every day the most important activity is reflection on the entire day, which helps to get updates on the day-by-day outcomes of the simulation. The students sit in silence and reflect on their trek, life, and the moment. This moment of introspection is very relevant in helping students discover their strengths and weaknesses.

The mix of experience and reflection is what makes experiential learning a highly effective tool for transformation of a character to a personality.
